Our Student Successes

Many of our parents speak of success stories. After 30 years and thousands of graduates, we certainly have had our share of successful students go on to major in music. Of those, many enter music education, which means now they in turn affect many more lives. It’s spreading the joy of music to many more people.

Yet at Milder Mucial Arts, we believe that each one of our students is a success story. Anyone who adds music to their life improves its overall quality. That’s why most of our students take music as an enrichment activity.

But don't take our word for it. Take it from the words of our parents:

My 3 children began coming to Beverly Milder's Musical Arts School at the ages of 3 (twins) and 5. Today they are 8 and 10, they play piano constantly here in the house, they can transpose music they know or hear (meaning they can play it in multiple keys, which is an advanced musical skill), they walk around singing beautifully - it's like living with the band! This school brings out fantastic abilities in children in such a pleasant, well-planned manner, delivered by teachers of the highest caliber, and all the while teaching young children that practice, practice, practice brings amazing results (and perfection is never the goal - rather the ability to play for others and for themselves comfortably). -LE

The musical gift this school is giving my children will stay with them all of their lives. The blending of the right and left brain, which comes about by playing different parts on the piano with each hand, is invaluable in melding the logical self with the creative self. Mostly, thought, the joy my children feel as they are making music is unlike any other experience, and I highly recommend bringing your child here as young as possible. Do not make the mistake and see the tuition as a cost - it is a real - time investment, better than any stock you'll ever buy. It's an investment in the future of how your child learns, creates, enjoys, and works. -GJ

BMMA is not just a special "place" but is also a special "environment". An environment is anywhere we are at any given moment and we go in and out of many different environments on a daily basis. We are inspired and affected by those environments and we listen and absorb, sometimes consciously and sometimes unconsciously, to the rhythms that reflects the tone of those environments. Many environments we must unfortunately encounter are toxic and destructive. Luckily, at Beverly Milder's we have a special place where the rhythm speaks loud and clear to the connection with music and which, in turn, enables us to positively foster and nurture our musical spirit and desires. -SE

Over the nine years our three children have been at BMMA, they have experienced ten different teachers. We tell our friends who ask that you can trust Beverly to hire good teachers. The relationships the kids have developed is much of the reason they continue to enjoy the lessons. -JC

Our daughter is in her fourth year of piano lessons at Beverly Milder’s Musical Arts, and I can’t say enough good about the program. In her four years of lessons, she has never once wanted to quit; she has only grown in her love for music. In fact, piano is the one activity that she never wants to miss. Now that she is in private lessons, it would be easier to have an instructor come to our house. But our daughter has had such as positive musical experience at BMMA that, as the saying goes, “why mess with success?" -CE

Beverly Milder's Muscial Arts is the best place for kids to learn music while having fun! -LM

My daughter loves singing, but she was not blessed with natural talent. She started singing lessons at Beverly Milder’s, and we cannot believe the progress she has made. I have to tell you that we think the world of her teacher and her teaching ability. I always thought a good voice was something you were born with. I know now this can be nurtured and developed. Our daughter loves singing, and now, we love listening to her. The improvement has been just amazing! -JL

Our family has had such a positive experience at your school. The instructors are top notch! They make the music experience so much fun for students and parents too. -JP

My son loves the Toddler Tunes class and at 2 has already shown he now understands the beat, not only for songs on his CD but on the radio, too! Thanks for providing such a fun class! -KKJ

We've tried other general music classes and even to a 2 and 3 year old it was too repetitive and boring! Incorporating the keyboard, even at the most basic level, is helping my child learn a more concrete kind of music. She sings the songs at home all the time and plays our piano every chance she gets. This is the only music program I would recommend. Beverly Milder's is the most practical program, where my daughter has the opportunity to grow and explore her interests, and when the time comes, can choose her instrument, whether it's piano, guitar, or voice! Thanks! -AT

My son and daughter have been enrolled at Beverly Milder's for about two years. The best testimonial that I can give to the program is that my kids now love to play piano even when they are not in class. We have a baby grand at home and I often times find them trying to play the songs that they have learned in class or heard elsewhere and have even done a little composing. They are developing a true love for music which is what I want to see. They don't really consider playing at home as practice, but rather as recreation. -GS

Our daughter started music class here at the age of 3 and now we are in our 4th year. We could not be happier with the experience and what we have learned from this class. We are truly amazed at how our daughter has learned to hear music and then be able to play the melody on the piano after just hearing the music. We love our teacher and we have been very lucky to work with her all this time. -SD

I found Beverly Milders by talking to other parents at my son’s school. I was interested in a group piano lesson, having done that myself as a kid. The school has been a great experience with both my sons. Not only have they learned to play piano, they have learned how to plan in ensembles and the chord theory they learn has really allowed them to play at a more advanced level sooner. Over the years my sons have worked with several different teachers at the school and I have been impressed with each one of them – very knowledgeable and excellent with the children. I have recommended the school to many friends and acquaintances. It is clear that Beverly is devoted to musical education for our children – thank you for your efforts! -JM

I am a parent of a son, age 4. Arie really loves his music class, which he now attended for almost a year, starting with Toodler Tunes, and now Music in Me. He always asks us to do his music " home work" with him, constantly wants to play the piano, and even attempts to "compose" his own tunes. Our teacher is really able to bring out his natural curiosity and love for music. We have been very happy with our experience at Beverly Milder's. -AR
