Piano: Beginning

Our popular keyboard/singing course.

Year-round course: 2 semesters + summer

Students develop piano, ensemble and inner hearing skills, while learning note reading, theory, compositions, arranging and accompanying themselves and others. This course is taken with a parent/partner through the first year-year and a half.

Private Piano/Voice Combination Lessons

Because our voice teachers are trained in both voice and piano, students have the option of taking a piano/voice combination lesson. Piano lessons help to reinforce the ear training done in voice training while voice lessons help to bring expression to piano training.  Each instrument reinforces the musical concepts learned from the other.  Students will soon begin to accompany themselves as they sing. We have students who are just 9 years old who accompany themselves on the piano while singing with a microphone sitting at the piano.
