Congratulations, Kate!
Kate Riemann will be in Mendocino, CA June 17 - 26 to participate in the Redwoods Opera Workshop. This prestigious honor will help Kate to hone her craft as she prepares for graduate school at Washington University this coming fall to study Vocal Performance. Kate's love for singing has been passed on to her students for six years and she will be greatly missed.

Debbie Schuster, a student with Jamie Shaw, is a rising talent in the St. Louis cabaret scene. Congratulations on being accepted into the St. Louis Cabaret Conference!

Congratulations, Hannah and Jocelyn!
Hannah Schultz and Jocelyn Snyder were invited to be a part of the St. Louis Children's Chorister Choir. The Choristers are an advanced choir composed of students with strong sight - reading skills. Hannah is in 7th grade and Jocelyn is in 8th grade.

Marsha Medley has been included in the Marquis Who's Who of American Women 2010-2011. Marsha has written and published many pieces for organ and is a beloved piano and class teacher here at Milder Musical Arts.

Emmy Barbour and Lauren Walton (not pictured) received a "1" rating at State Competitions! Well done, ladies!
MMA students put on a concert to raise money to support Haiti.
These ladies sang, played, danced and performed in ensembles, using their knowledge of music to create a wonderful event. Other acts included a tae kwon do demonstration, a gymnastics demonstration and a few violin performances.
We are so proud of these students for using their skills and talents to help those in need!

Best Places To Work
The Saint Louis Business Journal awarded Milder Musical Arts One of the Best Places to Work in St. Louis, 2010. The school is currently expanding the faculty and the facilities by adding an additional classroom and private rooms in the shopping center.

Last year, 2009, The Saint Louis Business Journal named Beverly Milder one of the 25 Most Influential Women in Business. Beverly has influenced thousands of students over the last 30 years, in addition to influencing the quality and content of music education.

Larisa Morozova is now finishing her 15th year here at Milder Musical Arts! Her daughter introduced her to Milder Musical Arts and Larisa began teaching on March 1, 1995. She is an amazing teacher, co-worker and friend. The picture to your right is Miss Larisa when she was 23 in her native country. Arun Garg to give piano recital
Arun Garg will give a piano recital this Saturday, February 20th at 7pm at the Steinway Piano Gallery in Maryland Heights on the corner of Dorsett and Metro. Selected works to be performed include Chopin, Brahms and Rachmaninoff. Keith Coulson will play a few duets. Arun has been taking lessons from Milder Musical Arts for 12 years. Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat
Parkway Central Middle School will be performing "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" March 5 and 6. Several of our students, including Liz Langa and Maggie Orf will be performing.

“Night of 100 Guitars”
Recognize these faces?
Although the picture is blurry, (it was taken on a phone!) it’s a photo of our very own Mort Melman with St. Louis Symphony Conductor, Maestro David Robertson. These two displayed their guitar chops along with 98 other guitarists in “Night of 100 Guitars” at the Pageant. Two of Mort’s guitar students, Al Cross and Brad Zirklebach, also participated.
